‘Performance Downs’ — A couple companies this year combined goose feathers with synthetic fibers in various configurations to introduce new insulation types.
We tested and approved jackets with Columbia’s TurboDown technology (above) and PrimaLoft’s Performance Down Blends. Both offer advantages that range from added warmth and better moisture-wicking, to substantial cost-savings over traditional goose down.
