The skiers behind YouTube channel Hidden Faces always knew they wanted to nab this one: the east face of the Grand Chavalard.

At first, it’s not exactly clear what makes this mountain in the Bernese Alps such a desirable objective. Then skiers Loïc Isliker and Paul de Groot finally reach the top and descend right as the sun comes up, illuminating an epic snow slope that starts right from the peak

“We dreamed of skiing this face with sunrise so we wanted to be on top of the mountain at first light,” Isliker said in the vid.

That dream turned out to be quite beautiful, indeed.
