Video: It Is (Almost?) Impossible To ‘Skyline’ Between Two Hot Air Balloons

This is one of the crazier ideas I’ve seen in a while, but filmmaker Sebastien Montaz-Rosset makes walking between two hot air balloons (a feat he named “skylining”) look like a party.

“Last week, we left winter behind and headed to the sun to try and turn our latest dream into reality,” Montaz-Rosset reports on this Vimeo post. “We put up a line between two hot air balloons to try our first completely movable highline.”

“We were excited to put skills to the test on such an amazing line… Thanks to the talent of the pilots, we came really close. We’ll be going back again very soon to make it happen.”

To get right to the meat of the video, jump to 1:50…but you will miss a clown at the start. —Sean McCoy
