Virtual happy hours and Zoom product demos are one thing, but a virtual trade show for the public? One small ski shop is making it happen.
The 2020 Snowtober Ski and Snowboard Show, dubbed Snowtober, is scheduled for October 16-19. And unlike every brand-to-consumer show of years past, it will be fully virtual. As of now, it’s North America’s first-ever virtual consumer snow show.
Vermont snowsport shop Peter Glenn will host the 3-day event, along with emcee Olympic medalist skier Jonny Moseley.
The event plans to serve as a celebration of skiing and snowboarding and will feature dozens of brands, manufacturer presentations, resort updates, and celebrity appearances (think Olympic athletes like Ted Ligety and industry icons like Hilaree Nelson).
Virtual Snowtober: What to Expect
Snowtober isn’t new. Peter Glenn has put on the consumer show every fall for the past 32 years. But this year’s event will take place on a “robust digital platform that invites attendees to access and experience all of the excitement of the ski and snowboard show,” according to a press release.
