Last year, Julia Zweng hiked from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail.

In Zweng’s own words, creating a visual document of the trip was merely a “means to process my journey.” But the result is a moving tribute to solo hiking and what it means to live in nature.

“I hope you’re reminded that life is big. And hard. But worth it. Nothing is off limits,” Zweng writes. “With all I have, thank you to the PCT, all of its people, and all of their people. It only goes because we build each other up.”

Watch her entire 2,600-mile quest — squeezed down to 18 beautiful minutes.
