Big Agnes ‘Glow Tent’ Line — A string of lights in your tent that power on with the flick of a switch: It’s a pretty simple concept, but one that Big Agnes nailed right on the head with the MtnGlo series of tents. Big Agnes went big with the launch, adding the light string to several tents across categories from lightweight hiking to car camping.
The super thin, LED light string adds little weight to designs and can barely be felt through the fabric of the tents, but it does provide ample light for relaxing in the tent.
We were impressed with the simple design and how it may make camping a little more pleasant (would you need to take a headlamp to a campfire if your tent is dimly illuminated in the distance?). The design won’t revolutionize camping, but it might make sleeping outside a little more easy and fun, and isn’t that what it’s all about?
