Bringing your dog along for the adventure can be fun. But because Fido can’t talk it can be hard to diagnose and treat doggy injuries. Adventure Medical Kits’ Me and My Dog Kit will prepare you to take care of your dog and self in case of emergency.

Ideal for car camping, backpacking, hunting and hiking, the kit comes stocked with a pretty comprehensive list of medical supplies supplies.

One showed up at Gear Junkie HQ neatly packaged in a zippered bag and two reusable ziplock dry bags. The contents are similar to a standard backcountry medical kit with the exception of a few dog specific items.

See contents list on page two.

There is also a pet first-aid medical book that covers treatments for everything from broken bones to snakebites.

A self-adhering bandage that won’t stick to dog hair, an emergency leash, and a packet of hydrogen peroxide are a few of the pet-specific items included in the kit.

This is a solid medical kit, but may be redundant with your current model. If you already have one, it may be more cost effective to purchase the few extra supplies specific to your pooch and add them to your kit.

Canine-friendly kits from the company will be available in three sizes, each stocked with different supplies. The Me & My Dog Kit, the largest of the three, costs $50 and will be available in April.
