Drone Scorches The Night With 90,000-Lumen Light

Filmmaker-turned-inventor Daniel Riley made a super 1,000W “flashlight” a year ago. This week, he beefed it up and attached it to a drone for some unbelievable night shots.

Riley used a series of high CRI LED chips of varying colors, strapped them to a Freefly Alta, and plugged them into an extra battery to create a spectacular aerial light show.

The whole rig ran for about 10 minutes on a single charge. Not bad, considering it was the brightest thing in the sky not running off nuclear fusion.
