The Apple Watch has received all the attention this week. But outdoorsy people might look to this premium alternative from Suunto.
Designed and made in Finland, the new men’s watch line includes high-grade stainless steel, sapphire crystal, vegetable-tanned leather straps, and tools for use in the outdoors.
The company unveiled six models, ranging from $700 – $800. They went on sale this week.
Called the Essential Collection, the watches were made to get Suunto attention in the design and fashion market, and with consumers looking for a nice watch that does double duty outdoors or in the office.
They have barometric altimeters, compass, weather-reading barometer modes, and more. The watch face is a sapphire crystal glass that’s shatterproof, scratch- and abrasion-resistant to put up with abuse in the city and backcountry alike.
