Wisconsin police report a ‘flash mob’ group of 10 men is responsible for stealing more than $30,000 worth of gear in under 30 seconds.
Security footage shows 10 men casually walking into a The North Face store near Kenosha, Wisconsin, last week before suddenly grabbing armloads of gear and rushing out of the store.
Local police are now asking the public’s help in identifying any of the men from the video and still images posted to the Pleasant Prairie Police Department (PPPD) Facebook page. According to Kenosha News, the men entered the store at Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets around 7:15 p.m. on July 1.
PPPD Sgt. Aaron Schaffer told Kenosha News, “It was like a flash mob … [that] grabbed as much merchandise as they could carry before running to the cars and leaving the property.” Authorities estimate the value of stolen merchandise to be around $30,000.
