Online ski-ticket marketplace Liftopia just added roundtrip ski bus transport packages to 20 mountains throughout the U.S.
Liftopia Experiences will provide a new ski travel offering for carless skiers. The winter adventures are available in 26 major urban areas around the country. Guests ride to ski areas on what the brand calls “luxury coaches.” But it’s more than just a ride.
Liftopia Experiences start at $89 and include roundtrip bus fare, a single-day pass to ski or tube, and assistance from local Liftopia hosts who come along for the ride.
Plus, a discounted ski lift ticket is included if you need one. But you can cut out that cost if you already have a season pass.
Liftopia Experiences: Travel, Tickets, Gear
For an extra fee, Liftopia hosts will also connect riders to gear rental packages. But insider knowledge, like locating the bunny slopes or powder stashes from Liftopia’s “specially trained mountain experts,” will still be free.
Currently, skiers can catch catered rides to mountain towns coast to coast. The program services numerous big cities like Toronto, Minneapolis, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., not to mention myriad mountain resorts in California, Colorado, and Vermont. Check specific destinations, as services vary by location.
This service seems like a great option for urban residents who don’t have access to a car, those just learning to ski, and anyone who wants to avoid winter mountain driving.
Liftopia Experiences: More Than Skiing
But skiing and snowboarding trips aren’t the only options. I checked for experiences near Denver and found one to Echo Mountain, the closest ski area to the metropolitan district. You can buy a roundtrip transport for a snow tubing session, buffet dinner, and a brewery stop for $115.
Experiences start as low as $89 leaving from 26 different hubs around the country through March. Check what’s currently available near you on the Liftopia Experiences website.
