The ocean is an unpredictable place to land an airplane. This pilot has to think fast to avoid putting his bird down right on top of a whale near Angoon, Alaska. Thomas Hamm captured the video, in which you can see the blast of mist from the whale’s blowhole beginning at the 39 second mark soak the plane as it flies just above the water.
