One of the most exciting and unique events this spring in the outdoors world is SylvanSport’s “FindTheGO contest,” an eight-week online event and live treasure hunt that begins this week. SylvanSport, maker of its namesake SylvanSport GO trailer, along with eight industry partners, have hidden a “cache of spectacular outdoor gear” valued at more than $15,000 somewhere in North America. Find it first, and it’s yours!
How to play? Treasure seekers watch video updates and follow clues online starting this week on www.findthego.com. Then pull out your road maps. To find the grand prize, you will need to drive, hike, bike, or otherwise get outside and scour the wilderness. Clues each week will narrow in more and more as to where the stocked SylvanSport GO trailer is hidden.
Last year’s FindTheGO contest winner, Matt Briskie of Raleigh, N.C., was one of the thousands of people who followed the clues online. Then, as the destination narrowed, he drove off from his home town and started his search, eventually locating the hidden SylvanSport GO trailer stocked with gear and parked near Niagara Falls.
This year, in addition to the big prize cache, there will be second- and third-place prizes as well as giveaways throughout the duration of the contest online. The Grand Prize package is valued at over $15,000, with a prize chest provided by Yakima, Emotion kayaks, Grand Trunk, SPOT, Niner Bikes, Kelty, Black Diamond and KEEN Footwear.
Now, go “Find The Go!” Good luck, treasure hunters!
