Buying a day pass at almost any resort in North America is expensive — especially at a place like Jackson Hole. On any average day of the season, it’ll cost you upward of $190 to ride the lifts and get on snow at that iconic Wyoming resort. Except for on Dec. 9, 2023, when lift tickets at Jackson Hole will be just $25 each. All you have to do to get that screaming deal is show up ready to rip or ride … but don’t forget your jeans.
Jackson Hole’s Ski in Jeans Day won’t be its first day open (that will be Nov. 24). But the resort is inviting people to come “kick off the season.” And this year, it’s going for broke. Jackson Hole wants to set the world record for the most people skiing and riding in jeans at one time.
“Skiing in jeans is a rite of passage,” the Jackson Hole Ski in Jeans announcement reads. “Let’s break the world record together.”
New Zealand-based ski resort, The Remarkables, set the previous record during the 2022-2023 ski season. The bar was officially set when 102 skiers and riders showed up on the slopes in jeans. In September, that same resort set another alleged world record, when 1,500 Kiwis showed up to ski and ride in swimsuits.
Ski Jackson Hole in Jeans: Deals on Lift Tickets, Rentals, and More
Jackson Hole clearly thinks it can do even better — at least, on the jeans front. Its $25 lift ticket deal on Dec. 9 is effectively 87% off of the normal day pass prices. That sweet deal will draw denim-clad skiers and riders from near and far like moths to a flame. The slopes will be saturated with them. But will it be able to beat The Remarkables’ previous record? Only time will tell.
If you want to help tip the scales in favor of Jackson Hole, you know where to be and when. As part of the event, the resort is also offering $25 equipment rentals, $100 off group lessons, and will have an aprés party at RPK3 with drinks and live music.
