If you have an old pair of snow goggles lying around and are ready for an upgrade, November is your chance to score. On Saturday, Nov. 16, and Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, the lifestyle eyewear brand is hosting a series of “ReView” trade-in events at its brick-and-mortar locations around the country. Bring new, used, or damaged goggles into one of its six stores, and you can walk out with a brand-new pair for free.
All goggles collected through the ReView events will either be recycled or donated to SOS Outreach, a Denver nonprofit that provides mentorship and outdoor recreation opportunities for local youth.
“We’re excited to welcome more customers into our stores,” Shady Rays founder and CEO Chris Ratterman said in a press release. “Our expert team will help find the perfect pair of snow goggles to replace the old, used, or broken pair they brought in.”
Shady Rays has retail locations in Denver.; Lexington and Louisville, Ky.; Scottsdale, Ariz.; Bloomington, Minn. (inside the Mall of America); and in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. No purchase is necessary to participate in Shady Rays’ Snow Goggle ReView. However, if you do make a purchase at a trade-in event, you’ll get 25% off if you buy an additional pair of goggles.
Shady Rays ReView Events: How It Works

Look up the closest store location to you on the Shady Rays website. On the weekend of Nov. 16-17, bring in a complete pair of snow goggles with the frame, lens, and strap and hand it over to someone who works at the store. Then, you’ll get a free pair of black frame Frontier goggles, with a Blackout full sun lens and black strap.
The store locations have a limited number of goggles to hand out. So, if you plan to trade in your pair of Shady Rays, get to the store early in the day. The brand also notes that this offer is limited to one trade-in per customer.
As mentioned, the stores are also offering 25% off if you decide you want to buy a second new pair of snow goggles while you’re in the store. It’s not a bad deal if you’re in the market for some holiday gifts.
