Here are two things that go great together: snacks and snowboarding. Don’t believe me? Check out the TWIX Doughboard. A TWIX snowboard might sound fun, but a TWIX splitboard actually makes sense. The concept of the dichotomous left and right TWIX is evident in this special-edition splitboard that brings the classic candy “twin” bars to life.

Olympian Maddie Mastro designed one half of this bad boy, while the other half was designed by fans via a contest TWIX held earlier in the year.

“It’s been a blast working on the design for the TWIX Doughboard,” Mastro said in a press release. “The design we chose for the fan side of the board is sick, and I love how the two sides of the design came together into something super original. I can’t wait to see these boards out on the slopes!”

Mastro, a California native, designed her side of the board with surf-inspired waves, in addition to the original ’80s-era candy-apple red TWIX font logo. The unnamed design contest winner furnished a retro-flavored semi-abstract mountain pattern.

“Just like TWIX fans no longer need to choose between the left or right TWIX, our TWIX Doughboard gives winter sports enthusiasts the option to choose different areas of the mountains,” explained Samantha Urban, Brand Manager at Mars.

TWIX Splitboard Availability

While the design pays homage to TWIX’s new cookie-dough flavor, the board isn’t just a one-off PR creation. There are 110 real Doughboards in existence, and you can enter to get your hands on one. The board is made in Colorado by an undisclosed snowboard brand, and is “fully functional” for the backcountry, says TWIX. It will come in lengths of 147, 151, 156, 161 cm.

Entry is as easy as zipping over to twix.com/cookiedough and typing in your name, age, email, birthdate, and snowboard size. The sweepstakes is open through April 19. TWIX will notify winners shortly afterward.

With the snowy winter the mountain West has had thus far, that still leaves you plenty of time to get out on the hills with your new board. Palisades Tahoe, for instance, isn’t closing until July 4, 2023.

See ya out there!
