The Under Armour All Out Mile first arrived last year, challenging runners around the globe to give it up for 1,600 meters. This May, it’s back.
Next month, runners everywhere will get the chance to take on Under Armour’s All Out Mile Challenge in a variety of new and familiar formats.
We first saw the All Out Mile last August. Under Armour introduced the initiative to inspire people of all abilities to — you guessed it — go run a mile. Participants could set a benchmark time, track their and others’ progress through an associated app, and finally compete in the worldwide event.
This year’s All Out Mile kicks off with a month-long training period on May 1. Entrants can run or walk, bear down on a PR, or just get started on a simple fitness plan.
The fastest milers around the world will win individual prizes. The teams with the most runners will get the opportunity to send a substantial donation to the charity of their choice through UA. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2022 All Out Mile.
Registration, Training & Competition
To join, sign up on the FitRankings leaderboard. Then, connect your smartwatch or any of UA’s connected shoes to the UA MayMyRun app. Through it, you’ll get personalized tips and training plans to help you pursue your goals.
Train up to go “all out” during the 5-day competition period, which takes place June 1-5. The challenge: run your best mile anytime in the date range.

To celebrate Global Running Day on June 2, UA will kick off live events in major cities around the world.
UA will award prizes to the top three men and women in 15 “regions” worldwide. Top finishers will win $1,000, second place gets $500, and third gets $250.
Each top-three finisher also gets $250 in UA gear. Making a regional “podium” will not be a trivial accomplishment, as designated regions are as big and populous as the United States, Mexico, and Japan.
There’s also a participation-based team competition with an altruistic incentive. The top teams in the “Most Milers” competition will win a $10,000 monetary donation to the nonprofit organization of their choice.
All designated charities must have a connection to increasing access and opportunity for all young athletes in support of UA’s Access to Sport initiative. The biggest team in each region wins a donation.
