Look, it’s not like there hasn’t already been some stellar ski films drop in 2023 (and it’s only September). However, “Advice for Girls” is bringing something a little different to the table — it showcases the collective experience of women in the ski industry. And, it does so with an all-female ski roster and filmmaking staff. Photographer and artist Katie Cooney spearheaded the project on Kickstarter in April of this year, and the film premiere is finally here.

“Throughout the film, athletes share the lessons they’ve learned from their experiences and pass on advice to the next generation of female skiers,” reads the film page.

“The Advice for Girls film is intended for more than just the female,” the producers added. “The film’s crew encourages women and girls to bring their partners, brothers, friends, cousins, dads and uncles to our film showings (or for them to bring themselves). This is ultimately a film for all.”
