The odd-looking bed and breakfast is built inside a 1954 fire service lorry that once sat in a museum.
Now, the truck is available for nightly rental as a side property at Inshraich, an Edwardian country house in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
While the main house is available for groups of up to 17 people, the Beermoth sleeps just two in cozy comfort. The truck has a raised roof, oak parquet floor, snooker table, slate hearth, and a Victorian double bed.
The unusual place to stay is a budget-traveler’s dream, priced from just £60 per night for two.
Not a bad deal at all considering any rental of Inshriach includes single-bank fishing on three miles of the River Spey, one of Scotland’s most renowned salmon fisheries.
