Namibia may not be one of the world’s best-known surf spots, but after this video by South African Benji Brand the local tourism board may want to prep for an influx of wave-seekers.
Brand recorded this spectacular barrel ride in the water off Namibia in May and entered it into Surfline’s GoPro of the World competition, which seeks the top GoPro footage to award a $20,000 prize. Seems as though Brand may be on the way to a healthy pay day. If not, I can’t wait to see what beats it! —Sean McCoy
