The countdown is on! Columbia Sportswear will add a limited-quantity collection that’s inspired by the Star Wars ‘Clone Wars’ theme.
Far removed from the hapless droids and scruffy-lookin’ smugglers crossing paths on Tatooine, the Star Wars franchise — like the universe it inhabits — only continues to grow. Numerous films and series bookend the original trilogy, and a host of fan fiction and role-playing games have expanded the franchise’s cast of characters.
Today, Columbia Sportswear announced the latest Star Wars gear drop — limited-edition outerwear that draws from the movie and animated hit The Clone Wars. The full collection goes live on December 2 at 12:01 a.m. EST.
Columbia x Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Ahsoka Tano Jacket ($414)
This jacket is inspired by a look sported by the incredible Ahsoka Tano on ice planet missions in The Clone Wars series. Who needs the force when this water-resistant jacket repels water on the outside and offers Columbia’s notorious 650 II insulation? Omni-Heat Infinity promises to keep you warm with its thermal reflective lining on the inside.
Republic Parka ($500)
Deep fans will note that this special-edition hooded parka is inspired by the adventures of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi on the ice planet Orto Plutonia. Fans will also enjoy the details that feature Jedi and Republic insignia that come with an internal “blood chit” label.
Like most of Columbia’s outerwear, this adjustable hooded parka is waterproof and has a breathable external shell. The parka also carries 650 II thermal reflective material, designed to provide warmth. An added bonus: the faux fur is removable.
Republic Heavyweight Pullover ($140)
Star Wars fans who want something daily to wear all day this winter can opt for this heavyweight pullover with an emblem of “prosperity and peace.” Made with a cotton-blend material, this Republic-aligned pullover also features an adjustable hood.
Republic Ball Cap ($40)
Sport this Star Wars special-edition cap with breathable mesh and snapback closures. This ball cap carries the Jedi crest in a distressed design — emblematic of “the bravery of the Republic,” according to Columbia.
The collection will be available on Columbia’s website on December 2 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. You can also purchase the collection in-store at Columbia-branded retail locations.
Set your watches; Columbia’s limited apparel collection also makes for an outdoorsy holiday gift idea for the Star Wars fan on your list!
