Drew Dawson was an editor with Runner’s World, Bicycling, and Popular Mechanics for four years, then made the switch to a reporter for the daily newspaper in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There, he covers outdoors-oriented stories from midwest divers and surfers from time to time. Now, he’s cutting his teeth as a freelancer in order to write more about sports, athletes, and gear. His areas of expertise are running, hiking, and backpacking. But as Drew says, any cool outdoor people or things are the stories he loves telling.
