A Word from Jackson Sims-Myers
A dirtbag and thru-hiker at heart, I’ve spent a lot of my adult life chasing adventure on thru-hikes and backpacking and climbing trips. During my travels, I started writing short pieces about my thoughts and experiences as a creative outlet and realized that writing deepened my experience with the objective and the people connected to the journeys. On the AT in 2021, I bought my first camera and started learning how to shoot. It’s important to me to write honestly about my experience, to love the experiences and gear I love, but not leave out the less-than-wonderful details. I’m proud to celebrate the full story of successes and failures, good and bad.
