[leadin]Taking mom/kid biking to a new extreme, in this image Emily Finch hauls seven — 7! — children at once.[/leadin]

As may be expected Finch lives in “Bike City USA” (aka, Portland, Ore.) and she is a dedicated urban rider who hauls her kids around town via bike.

But of this picture she quips, “This was not normal!” The photo, taken by Jonathan Maus of BikePortland.org, is from an event called the “Fiets of Parenthood.” It’s a family-oriented bike event organized by Clever Cycles.

Finch was riding for fun and trying to get as many kids onto one bike-train setup as possible.

The mother of six noted, “All the kids are mine except for the 7-year-old girl riding the bicycle attached to the back. My bike was a Bakfiets cargo bike, and attached to the rear wheel was a follow-me tandem, which is an attachment that allowed me to hook in another bike.”

We love this shot. Go bike mom!
