A British brand has taken a new direction on the humble bike tool.
Fabric is a British cycling accessory manufacturer doing things different. Case in point is the bike tool above. The Chamber is a fist-size cylinder that holds a bevy of allen, double-sided hex, double-squared, flat tips, and phillips drivers.
It has all the tools inside to wrench your ride, and its form factor makes it slip easily in a jersey pocket or seat bag.
The bits and tools are removed and inserted into the caddy’s cap. This gives torque on your grip. It all tucks cleanly away in its canister, keeping the toolbox snag free in the jersey.
They are made of aluminum and stainless steel. The weight of the to-be-released product is yet to be determined.
The Chamber comes in two versions, one with a fixed bit head and another version with a reversible ratchet. We got a quick look, but the tool is not yet on the market.
The tool goes on sale in September for about $50 (regular version) and about $60 (with the ratchet).
