The all-new Camp Rampage is located just outside Virgin, Utah, home of the annual Red Bull Rampage freeride mountain bike insanity, running this year from October 25 to 28.

Red Bull Rampage is an invite-only event for the best freeriders, downhillers, and slopestyle riders in the world. Each rider picks the most frightening lines and sickest tricks to perform down the desert mountainside. The stark scene near Zion National Park has been described as “otherworldly.” You only know it when you go.

Judges score downhillers on line choice, airtime, fluidity, style, and speed. So this competition is all about the riding the gnarliest ridgelines, soaring the highest and sticking the landing during jumps, and a showcasing a style that’s smoother, faster, and more aggressive than the rest.

Professional judges decide who wins. But spectators, who are treated to some of the sickest live mountain biking on the planet, are the big winners. And now bike enthusiasts can make a whole weekend out of taking in the legendary action.

Camp Rampage costs $300. The new package price includes a four-day, three-night camping pass for up to four people, with community amenities, sponsored trail rides, and access to an onsite sponsor area.

The campsite is just down the road from the main Rampage parking lot, which means that visitors can bike in for a day of viewing and take off on other adventures near the center of the action.

In addition to one 40 x 15-foot campsite, Camp Rampage has fire pits, portable toilets, and water-fill stations. It’s tent and vehicle camping only. Each site is allowed two standard size cars or trucks, or one vehicle no larger than 29 feet long. Camp stoves are allowed. Pets and weapons, as well as fires outside of designated fire rings, are prohibited.

Additionally, campers can interact with sponsors and brands right onsite. BFGoodrich is staging group trail rides to explore the area, and WD-40, Yakima, Camelbak, Ohlins, and Kodiak Cakes will be serving up freebies as well.

The only catch on Camp Rampage is you still need to buy a general admission ticket for $65 to access the competition. But that includes free bike valet, bike-in access, and close-up spectating at the Friday event.

Tickets and the Camp Ramage package go on sale today.
