From fire towers to yurts, The Dyrt highlights 10 unique, bookable glamping sites in its 2022 Glampy Awards.

There’s a time and a place for most things — glamping included. Sometimes it’s nice to sleep in a neat spot without worrying about a rock puncturing your kidney through your sleeping pad.

To that end, campsite search engine and review website The Dyrt has released a list of 10 spiffy and oh-so-camera-friendly glamping campsites it calls the Glampy Awards. These sites are perfect for livening up a road trip or adding a little comfort to a laidback hike.

The Dyrt ranked its choices based on three “entirely subjective” metrics: glampiness, Instagramability, and bookability. This last item is perhaps the most crucial in this age of increased interest (read: crowds) in the outdoors.

Rest Your Fanny in a Fancy Glampsite

The Dyrt’s list covers sites in North Carolina, Utah, Oregon, Minnesota, New York, and more. Each listing details price, number of sites, RV site availability, and if pets are welcome.

One of our favorites is Yonder Escalante — where you can stay in a refurbished vintage Airstream near the famous Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Oh yeah, and there’s a drive-in movie theater.

Another highlight is the Behr Art B&B in New Mexico. It features funky yurts that channel the Land of Enchantment’s signature eclectic style while providing running water and fresh linens.

Looking for something even more unique? Sleep in a refurbished train car at Goldie the Caboose in the Woods, in Minnesota. There are only two sites available, but they’re complete with amenities like electricity, a kitchenette, toilets and shower, and fire pits.

There’s no need to glamp it up all the time, but if you’re going to do it, you may as well do it right. And some of these sites certainly caught our attention.

Head on over to The Dyrt for the complete list.
