Black Diamond’s latest film just dropped, and it’s a head-turner.
We all know Alex Honnold for his daring “Free Solo” feats. But what about his lesser-known accomplishments as a common boulderer by day? This film goes there.
Introducing “Big Walls to Low Balls” — or as Honnold puts it, an “ungenerous” look into his climbing progression. This casual film focuses on Honnold as he explores a few different problems in Red Rock, Nevada. You’ll learn this star climber’s approach to low ball boulders, sit starts, laybacks, double toe hooks, and uncomfortable and cramped positions.
“Bouldering forces you to try different types of movement,” said Honnold. “It’s all just good practice for the real rock climbing.”
