Butora Acro Review: $154

An aggressive downturn, a tight-fitting heel, and a ton of rubber make Butora’s Acro my new “send shoe.” This slipper is great for tough problems and short, overhung routes.

2017 Rock Climbing Shoes Butora Acro

The Acro has unlined leather everywhere except the top of the toe box and the tongue. The split-grain leather is super soft and felt great on my feet.

A huge rubber surface on top of the shoe performs excellently with toe hooks. Butora claims they have one of the largest toe-rubber surfaces of a down-cambered shoe on the market.

At first, the shoes were downright painful to put on. But after breaking them in, I can wear them comfortably for up to 30 minutes at a time.

As many slippers only cater to one size foot, the Acro comes in both narrow and wide sizes. We reviewed the Acro in full here.
