WESN Pocket Sharpener
WESN’s Pocket Sharpener ($35) offers a “slimmed-down” sharpener with an eye toward seriously good functionality. The dual-sided sharpener has an electroplated diamond 400-grit plate on one side and a ceramic plate on the other. It weighs only 54 g. (Note: WESN knives come with a flat grind at a 25-degree angle.) Plus, WESN backs the sharpener with a lifetime warranty.
Topo Designs Global Wool Sweater
Topo Designs launched a new line of sustainable wool apparel. The Global Wool features a two-layer fabric with a micro-wool/poly liner and a 65% post-consumer recycled Italian wool exterior. The line includes a Global Wool Full Zip Sweater ($199), 1/4 Zip Sweater ($199), and a Global Wool Sweater ($139) in men’s and women’s sizing.
MPOWERD Luci Bike Light
MPOWERD’s latest light innovation is a bike light unit equipped with 10 IPX4-rated, cool white LEDs and a silicone strap. The Luci Bike Light ($65) can recharge via solar or USB, with multiple settings that illuminate up to 100 lumens when you’re riding at night. It also fits any size handlebar and is small enough to fit in your pocket. It will be available in March 2021.
IndoorVelo Bike Screen Mount
Former pro cyclist Sean Kelly is one of the brains behind the IndoorVelo Screen Mount (now $169). The mount lets you train on Zwift (or other training platforms) while having your laptop, tablet, or smartphone at your fingertips. IndoorVelo says its mount can add a host of fun extras to your ride. Work out while browsing new playlists on Spotify, track your ride progress while checking email, Zoom call your friends during a group ride, and virtually anything else.
SAXX Mega Lux Cashmere Underwear
Cashmere undies? Yes, please. SAXX’s new Mega Lux boxer briefs ($60) are made with an “indulgent” modal fabric and cashmere blend. The brand’s new Mega Lux collection includes two styles of briefs and two matching crew tees in neutral colors.
Snow Peak Colored Chopsticks
Snow Peak has upgraded from bamboo or stainless steel chopsticks to Anodized Titanium Chopsticks ($30), now available with vibrant anodized color finishes. Even better, you can pair your shiny purple, green, or blue chopsticks with one of Snow Peak’s matching titanium mugs.
Filson Popeye Wool Cap
In an ode to an “unlikely hero,” Filson just released a limited-edition Popeye collection. “By 1938 he’d been voted the most popular cartoon character in America and has been a part of our pop culture ever since,” the brand noted. This broadcloth and wool Popeye Wool Cap ($75), for example, is a perfect nod to the pipe-smoking, spinach-crunching, gritty sailor character we all know and love.
All-City Cosmic Stallion Ti Bike
All-City is out with its first all titanium frameset, made with the brand’s proprietary material called Oberon Titanium. This allows the $3,199 Cosmic Stallion Ti’s frame to weigh 0.75 pounds less than a frame made from the brand’s A.C.E. steel. It can run 700c x 45mm or 650b x 42mm tires and has Di2 routing options, rear rack and fender mounts, and All-City “signature details” like custom titanium dropouts.
PDW A.G. Wilderness Quilt
Prometheus Design Werx (PDW) has introduced its newest camp quilt invention. The A.G. Wilderness Quilt ($319) is an 800-fill goose down comforter designed for use in rooftop tents or two-person ground tents. The quilt has a classic style and shape, a 20-denier nylon shell with a DWR finish, and compresses down to the size of a one-person sleeping bag.
Jones Bikes H-Bar Loop Handlebar
This new Jones H-Bar Loop 2.5 ($122) is made with butted aluminum tubing that is thicker around the welds and thinner in the rest of the bar to make it about 165 g lighter than its predecessor. The new Jones H-Bar is also 2 inches higher for taller or lankier riders who need more comfort and control. The Jones H-Bar Loop is available in 660mm or 710mm widths in black or silver.
CIZOR Tungsten Carbide Knife
The CIZOR knife (from $42) isn’t the most decked-out multifeature pocket knife we’ve seen, but it still looks awesome. The “minimalist” tool provides just two functions — a glass-breaker on one end and a razor-sharp edge (cutting implement) on the other. The CIZOR is made of pure tungsten carbide to provide exceptional strength and durability.
Dansko Pace Walking Shoe
Dansko’s new shoe won’t break any marathon records, but that’s OK. The Pace walking shoe ($140) is built for those who spend lots of time on their feet. The Dansko Pace has a footbed with the brand’s natural arch technology, a shock-absorbing heel cushion, mesh uppers with a microbial treatment for odor control, and a lightweight outsole. It’s also made with recycled materials.
