The Eco-Challenge series is one of the most grueling race events of all time. Here’s why.

The first iteration of the adventure race series Eco-Challenge was created for television back in in 1992, and now will feature the infamous Bear Grylls, who went on to host the series “Man vs. Wild,” as host. Now, the epic race series has been revived with even tougher challenges and will be launching exclusively on Amazon Prime on August 14.

The series will consist of 10 full-length, competition-style episodes. You can read more about the history of the Eco-Challenge series and adventure racing here.

About Eco-Challenge 2020

For 2020, survivalist Bear Grylls and long-time Eco Challenge producer Mark Burnett have teamed up again to host the series. Similar to past races, the challenge will be an 11-day expedition that pushes competitors to their physical and emotional limits.

The location for 2020 is Fiji — meaning hot and tropical weather as well as unfriendly critters like jellyfish, spiders, and snakes.

Because of the brutal environment and obstacles, for most, even just finishing the “world’s toughest race” is accomplishment enough. But of course, one team will prevail and win.

Who will come out on top? You’ll have to watch to find out.
