Ok, so it’s a bit of a stretch, but a scenario requiring emergency access to parachute cord could be addressed with the Khordz mug, which is basically a mason jar wrapped in 25 feet of military grade paracord with some clever knot work.
The mugs are customizable, dishwasher- and microwave-safe and you could use them to build a snare.
Khordz is currently fund-raising on the crowd-sourcing site indiegogo in the hopes of raising $5,000 to begin production of the made-in-California product. Khordz mugs will retail for $20 if production becomes a reality. —Sean McCoy
