Day of the Knife debuted with massive fanfare last year, and we’re back bigger and better for the 2013 installment of the month-long celebration of the most practical tool known to man.
In partnership with SOG Knives, we have a month-long onslaught of content and contests in-store for Day of the Knife 2013. All of which leads up to August 8, The Day of the Knife.
In total, 120 knives from SOG are up for grabs. Over a dozen different types of SOG knives will be shipped to readers over the next month– ranging from the tiny Micron to the Sliptron, Seal Pup and epic Arcitech Damascus.
There are three ways to win:
1) Grand Prize: $5,000 of top-end outdoors gear is up for grabs. We’re asking readers to submit the most epic/creative photo of themselves with their knife, in their element. Two quick notes: 1) Any knife works 2) To be a top contender, the picture must include you and your knife (not just a knife stuck in a tree). Submit your entry on the main Day of the Knife page.
2) Daily Knife Giveaways: We’ll be giving away 3-5 knives every business day from now ‘til August 8 (88 knives in total). Entering the daily giveaways couldn’t be any easier. All you need to do is submit your email address on the right side of the of the main Day of the Knife page, where it says “Enter Daily Knife Giveaway.”
3) Weekly Contest:During the weeks of 7/15, 7/22 and there will be a contest that sends six readers some seriously high-end steel companionship from SOG. These contests will appear both on the Day of the Knife page as well as on the main page of GearJunkie.com.
