Tangier Orange Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2 Bison AEV Upfit
Step one is to go to your favorite Chevrolet truck dealer and order up the special-order–only Tangier Orange Silverado HD, making sure it has the ZR2 Bison package on it. Then, they drop-ship the truck off the assembly line to AEV to finish out the upgrades. The truck then gets shipped back to the dealer for final delivery.
The base upfit package from AEV for the HD Bison includes 37-inch BFG KO3 all-terrain tires, Salta XD Wheels, a ComeUp Solo 12.5RS winch, rear aux lighting, and a unique paint appearance package. It also gets an AEV serialized build plaque.
Is there a more head-turning and capable truck out there? You could argue that AEV’s XL builds on Ram and Ford HD trucks, featuring 40-inch tires, but those can’t be had in orange from the factory.

The base AEV upfit package for the HD Bison is about $12K. For an additional $5K-ish, you get the full monty, but these upgrades can also be added à la carte. This includes an AEV snorkel, bronze AEV Salta XD wheels, AEV rear diff Cover, and AEV in-bed vertical tire mount.
The optional AEV Salta XD wheels in Bronze are available exclusively for this package. They look great with the orange paint and are sure to be sought after by other HD Bison owners.
AEV also offers up a few other options to finish out this special truck, depending on your needs. These include a color-matched Leer truck cap (as seen in renderings), a GFC V2 Pro Camper topper, or a Kuat Racks bed rack.
The key to doing the upgrades like this directly through your dealer and all at once is that you can finance the whole thing as one package, instead of having to buy the parts and/or upgrade packages separately after purchasing or financing the truck.
AEV Upgrade
Sure, the AEV Bison package on the Silverado HD ZR2 is extremely capable and slick-looking from the factory. But, this special color option and other AEV upfit goodies take things to the next level.
The 37s, versus the 35s that come on the HD Bison, truly up the presence and capability quotient of this truck. Because the factory ZR2 Bison suspension and components are retained, the full factory warranty is also retained. There is some massaging needed to fit the 37s, but AEV does all that in-house during the upfit to OEM levels of quality.
