Plug and Play: More Power on Tap for Ranger Raptor and Bronco Raptor

Ford Performance Parts now offers a simple software calibration, which is fully factory-backed, for the 3.0L EcoBoost-powered 2024 Ranger Raptor and 2022-2024 Bronco Raptor. This is a dealer-installed option, which retains the vehicle’s 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.

While this is a 49-state-approved upgrade, Californians once again miss out on all the fun.

Bronco Raptor: Torque increases from 440 to 536 pound-feet and horsepower climbs from 418 to 455

3.0L EcoBoost Performance Calibration

There is a separate Ford Performance parts 3.0L EcoBoost Performance Calibration for the Ranger Raptor and Bronco Raptor. Both cost $825 for the parts. They can be purchased online (Bronco Raptor Calibration, Ranger Raptor Calibration) or at your local Ford dealer.

To retain the vehicle’s factory warranty, you’ll need to have a Ford Dealer or an ASE/Red Seal certified technician install the calibration on the vehicle.

This engine tune — software calibration — is said to not only boost power but also improve throttle response and optimize shifts. All of this is, of course, in the name of performance and requires 91 octane fuel.

Discount Option at Raptor Rally

If you want to have some fun in the desert, learn some things about your Raptor vehicle, and get a discount on a 3.0L EcoBoost Performance Calibration for your Ranger Raptor or Bronco Raptor, then consider attending the Raptor Rally. The 1-day event near the Ford Performance Racing School in Fairfield, Utah, will be held on Sept. 21 this year.

It costs $500 for the event. Attendees get a coupon good for 20% off the calibration tool and other upgrades from Ford Performance Parts.
