The 2023 Mercedes-AMG G 63 4×4 Squared is a twin-turbo V8 off-road monster with portal axles, and we want one!
We must not have been the only ones missing the absolute absurdity that was the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 4×4 Squared. The portal-axle monster G-Class came to the U.S. in 2017 and disappeared not long after when Mercedes-Benz redesigned the underlying vehicle. Now it’s back, in an even more extreme AMG version.
The bone-standard Mercedes-Benz G-Class is one of the most capable factory off-roaders in the world. The vehicle is legendary for its capability, used by adventurers and even armed forces around the world to get just about anywhere.
A few years back, though, Mercedes-Benz decided that the luxury off-roader just wasn’t quite extreme enough. The experiment that resulted ended with a 6×6 AMG version as well as the lifted monster G 550 4×4 Squared.
