GMC and A&E Network teamed up to create the new documentary ‘Revolution: GMC Hummer EV,’ which airs on March 27 on The History Channel.
The trailer for this new documentary was just released, and we’re intrigued. The GMC Hummer EV “supertruck” is an impressive piece of machinery, and the testing, engineering, and manufacturing programs to create it are no doubt equally as impressive.
We’re excited to see this documentary and get some more insights into how features like Crab Walk and WTF Mode came about. We’re also excited to get an inside look at GM’s testing, development, design, and manufacturing facilities and processes.
What to Expect & Where to Watch
There’s so much that goes into modern vehicles, especially cutting-edge vehicles like the Hummer EV truck. This documentary promises to take viewers from inception to the start of production of the supertruck. An inside look at the Factory ZERO Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant will also be included.
Following The History Channel premiere on March 27 at 11 a.m. ET, there will be an encore of this documentary on FYI on March 31 at 9 p.m. ET. It will also be available through streaming services Hulu and History.com on March 27.

What Is a ‘Supertruck’?
The current supertruck has to be the RAM 1500 TRX, as it is bonkers fun on and off road. It also offers grandeur and comfort normally reserved for top luxury cars.
With that said, it doesn’t come close to matching the crazy performance numbers on offer with the self-proclaimed supertruck GMC Hummer EV.
The Hummer EV looks to be the next-gen ultimate American pickup. It combines all that we love about big American trucks. Plus, it holds so much of the promise that a battery-electric drivetrain has to offer.
