A statewide scavenger hunt kicks off in Minnesota today. Called Checkpoint MN, the event includes 12 checkpoint signs placed around the state.
Live from today (December 11, 2014) to March 5, 2015, the scavenger hunt is a do-it-yourself adventure to see “12 iconic places” around the state of Minnesota. Full rules and information are at CheckpointMN.com.

There are more than a dozen sponsor brands and $50,000+ in prizes up for grabs. You earn one point per check-in and then redeem the points on a Prize page.
The Grand Prize is a Ski-Doo Renegade 600 Sport snowmobile valued at nearly $8000. Other Grand Prize packages include a Framed Bikes ‘Minnesota 2.0’ Fat Bike, and ski and snowboard packages from The-House.com.
