Looking for something creative to do in quarantine? Design your very own customized helmet.
Shimano and Lazer have partnered to create the latest contest for bike fanatics — a helmet design contest.
“Lazer believes that we should always encourage people to express themselves, to show who they really are,” wrote Lazer. “These are the reasons why we decided to launch a contest: draw your own helmet.”
The rules are simple. After you download the template, anything goes — design by hand or with computer graphics and add colors, prints, and more. Then submit it before April 11.
The design contest will start with Lazer’s template for its Bullet 2.0 helmet, but the brand hopes to expand to other helmets and products in the coming months.
Lazer Sports will announce the first winner this Sunday, April 12. And the prize is pretty cool; the brand will manufacture a one-off model of the winner’s design. So whoever wins will be rocking a one-of-a-kind bike helmet designed by their own mind.
