YETI’s latest seasonal color choice is finally here. King Crab Orange (from $25) is “inspired by the tough Alaskan seas — and the men and women that risk their lives to pull the iconic, orange crab to the surface.” (It’s also inspired by crustaceans in general.) King Crab orange will grace YETI coolers, mugs, tumblers, and more.

Smartwool Merino 150 Tees

Smartwool’s Merino 150 Base Layer Short Sleeves now feature plant-based dyes. The Merino 150 for men and women ($75) is made with Smartwool’s lightest-weight merino fabric, flatlock seams, a 20 UPF rating, and now new colors, courtesy of a more responsible, plant-based dying technique.

JoGo Coffee Brewing Straw

The JoGo Straw ($19) is a sustainable new way to brew coffee anywhere, anytime. The JoGo consists of a stainless steel mesh filter, straw, and BPA-free, heat-resistant silicone tip. It’s designed to eliminate disposable, plastic, and paper filter waste. The JoGo was inspired by the founder’s solo cross-continent motorcycle trip. But it also works for trips closer to home (we’ve got one staff member in the process of testing).

GAMMA Graphene-Infused Jacket

The GAMMA Jacket (preorder for $295 on Kickstarter) is a  lightweight, insulated jacket with graphene sewn into the fabric. We’ve seen this wünder material — touted as the strongest on Earth — in shoes and only one other jacket. The GAMMA Jacket is waterproof with water-resistant zippers and an adjustable hood and hem. Not only is graphene already thermoregulating, but GAMMA added built-in carbon fiber heaters to this jacket to ensure consistent warmth. The jacket weighs roughly a pound.

BOTE’s LONO Aero inflatable kayak (from $1,499) just launched this week, and it’s a showstopper. This 12-plus-foot, multifaceted kayak folds up as small as an inflatable SUP, so you can take it with you wherever you go. It’s got a pedal foot platform, cargo areas, and kick-up rudder.  The LONO kayak and added APEX Pedal Drive come together “to create a pedal-driven kayak that boasts versatility, speed, and durability.” Get the LONO Aero with pedal drive for $2,099 when you preorder now (with a coupon deal for $200 off the $800 pedal drive), or get it without pedal drive for $1,499.

Alpine Parrot Ponderosa Pants

Alpine Parrot is an outdoor apparel brand that caters to underrepresented communities in the outdoors through inclusive sizing and modeling. And it’s on a quest to make plus-size technical adventure pants. The brand has a high-rise waist with built-in belt, Bluesign-approved and 40 UPF two-way-stretch fabric, and lots of pockets. Portland-based North St. Bags is out with a new way to carry your bike tools and snacks. The North St. Handlebar Pouch ($55) is compact and made with 100% REPREVE recycled EcoPak waterproof sailcloth, a water-resistant zipper, adjustable straps, and a laser-engraved patch. It comes in a whopping eight color options and weighs just 2.4 ounces.

 

Moxie Cycling Co. T-Back Jersey

Moxie Cycling is out with its new 2021 halter-style cycling shirt. The brand claims the High Vis T-Back ($90) is more comfortable around the neck than — but just as flattering as — the original. It has wicking fabric, a built-in bra, reflective hits on the pockets, and, of course, new high-visibility prints. Moxie also offers sizes up to 3X and is made in the USA.
