Rapha x Outdoor Voices Women's Cycling Collection

outdoor voices and Rapha windbreaker

Rapha and Outdoor Voices partnered to launch an extensive women’s cycling collection (everything from jerseys to bib shorts and bike bags). The collection is all about increasing access for women in cycling. Our favorite products in the collection are the High-Waisted Padded Shorts ($110), with Rapha’s women’s-specific chamois pad, and the Rapha x Outdoor Voices Wind Jacket ($180), a nylon shell with plenty of ventilation in the back and a zippered storage pocket.

Revel Ranger XC Bike

The Ranger is Revel Bikes’ latest XC bike using the brand’s new full-suspension design. The Revel Ranger (from $2,799) uses a CBF platform, which balances the center of curvature over the bike’s chainring to maximize forces during travel. All that means it provides better efficiency while pedaling. The Ranger has 29er wheels and multiple shock options. Combined with “reasonable-yet-modern” reach and chainstay numbers, this bike is cut out for everything from racing to afternoon trail rides.

Catalyst Waterproof Case 2nd Generation

Catalyst PixelBuds Case

The Catalyst Waterproof Case for Google Pixel Buds (Gen 2) ($30) is the first of its kind for Pixel users. It has a molded silicone exterior to provide waterproof and drop-proof protection. It also has an access point for a charging cord and comes with a detachable stainless steel carabiner. The case has an IP67 waterproof rating and Bluetooth connectivity.

Blazeblok 'Neck Protect' Sun Shield

BlazeBlok

Blazeblok is hoping to help prevent skin damage and skin cancer in riders. The Blazeblok Sun Shield ($35) is a breathable, UPF 50-rated fabric lined with a sweat-wicking mesh that attaches to a helmet to fully cover the wearer’s neck. It’s also lined with reflective piping for added visibility. And weighing only 1.1 ounces, there’s no excuse not to wear one.

Protekt Sunscreen Sticks

Both reef-safe and rated to 30 SPF, Protekt’s clear and tinted sunscreen sticks ($16) provide convenient sun protection for all sorts of outdoor adventures. The sunscreen sticks are made with a high concentration of non-nano zinc oxide to provide up to 80 minutes of water-resistant sun protection. Plus, the inactive ingredients of coconut oil, cocoa seed butter, and aloe moisturize your skin at the same time.

Drink Wholesome Protein Powder

Drink Wholesome’s new Peanut Butter Protein Powder ($28) serves a whopping 20 g of protein, along with some delicious flavors. The peanut butter chocolate flavor is the first from the brand without egg whites (making it vegan as well as dairy-free). The recovery drink’s ingredients consist of chickpeas, peanuts, coconut, cocoa, sea salt, and monk fruit.

Bertucci DX3 Canvas Watch

This new Bertucci field watch is one of the nicest we’ve seen for the price — the DX3 Canvas is just $65. The DX3 has an all-cotton canvas band with a smooth matte finish for comfort in the field, all-metal quartz movement, a stainless steel case, luminous hands and markers, and a 50m water-resistance rating. Bertucci makes some of the best field watches, so we’re optimistic this will provide great performance at a low price.

Filson Smokey Bear Shorts

Filson’s new Smokey the Bear collection isn’t about new tech — it’s about fun. The collection is an homage to Smokey Bear, a U.S. Forest Service icon who’s been educating us on wildfire safety since 1944. The limited-edition Smokey Bear Lounge Shorts ($55) are a midweight cotton blend and have a single-button fly and elastic waistband. There’s a matching Smokey Bear camp shirt ($85) coming soon too.

Origami Water Bottle

Folding kayaks and bikes exist, so why not folding water bottles? The Kickstarted DiFOLD Origami Bottle (now $30) is made of a BPA-free plastic polymer and uses a proprietary design that allows it to fold flat enough to fit in your pocket. Unfolded, the 25-ounce bottle holds 750 mL of liquid and is dishwasher-safe. The Origami bottle has stainless steel threads and cap, a carry ring, and weighs just 4.2 ounces.

Wolf Tooth Supple Bar Tape

supple bar tape

For serious gravel riding, you’ll want more hand cushion. Wolf Tooth is offering up a solution with its 5mm-thick Supple Bar Tape ($40 per roll). The tape is 40 mm wide with tapered edges designed for overlapping wraps, has a tacky texture for grip, and uses self-fusing silicone to provide a clean finish. At least twice as thick as other tapes, it’s great for tougher off-road riding or racing. Colorful tape will be available soon.

Rumpl NASA Collection

Rumpl’s new collection is in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission this year. Rumpl took its original puffy blanket and added a shiny, heat-reflective nylon shell for the NASA Rumpl ($100). The NASA Puffy Poncho ($249) has a spacesuit-inspired hood and colors and is filled with NanoLoft insulation. What didn’t the astronauts have that this poncho does? A fleece-lined pouch and a pocket drink-holder.

DrinkTanks Tank Powder

We love products like this one — stuff that keeps your gear clean. DrinkTanks Tank Powder ($13) is a biodegradable powder designed to clean out stainless steel bottles, growlers, and more. Simply pour in the powder and hot water, let it dissolve, then scrub. The powder is fragrance-free, phosphate-free, and septic-safe. And, it works on both stainless steel and plastic items.

Base Camp Tent Stake Hammers

Base Camp ultralight tent stake hammers

River City Tooling Labs just launched the unique Base Camp Tent Stake Hammers (starting at $20). The Base Camp stake hammers come in steel or aluminum versions, are spring-loaded, and weigh a fraction of any other hammer on the market at 4.16 ounces. A nice alternative to a heavy rock, the hammers use a spring-loaded pull-and-release method to pound tent stakes into the ground.
