Teva’s Ember collection expands this season with two eco-friendly updates. The ReEMBER ($75) and ReEMBER Mid ($90) have the same quilted slip-on design and coziness, but now with a 100% recycled ripstop upper, 100% recycled polyester microfiber lining, and 50% recycled EVA midsole. Both Ember styles are made with Teva’s RAPID RESIST water-repellent technology, too. And, you can choose from over 10 colors.

Wolverine x RAM Truck Boots
Wolverine brought in the big guns — or should we say big trucks — for its latest collab. The Wolverine x RAM Truck Boot Collection ($229 and up) includes the Tradesman Safety Toe, Rebel Safety Toe, and Limited 1000 Mile Boot (men’s only). Each model differs, but all have full-grain leather uppers, and removable dual-density footbeds. The 1000 Mile boot has a Vibram outsole, while the others have TPU outsoles. All boots are built in the USA, and $10 from each preorder will be donated to SkillsUSA.
Matador Advanced Series Packable Duffle
New to Matador’s Advanced Series is the Freefly Packable Duffle ($85), a lightweight, weatherproof 30L duffel that packs down to the size of a baseball. Carry all you need and nothing more (with multiple carry options!) with the Freefly. The duffel is made of 70-denier Robic Ultra-high-molecular-weight-polyethylene reinforced ripstop nylon, PU waterproofed 50D nylon mini ripstop, sealed seams, YKK zippers and buckles, and bonded nylon thread.
QUOC Mono II Road Shoe
QUOC has launched the Mono II, a race-grade road cycling shoe. A successor to QUOC’s strap-closure Mono, the Mono II ($370) instead has the brand’s own dual dial closure system (this is its first shoe with this technology). It has a unidirectional carbon fiber sole, and custom-molded lace guide. And, at 249 g, the shoe is one of QUOC’s lightest yet. Read our full review of one of QUOC’s other models.
MicroSend Climber's Kit
Launched this week, the MicroSend ($20) is a miniature, magnetic route-setting kit. Aside from being totally adorable, it’s functional too, for climbers who may want to visualize projects or practice route-setting skills. It comes with 15 small magnetic holds, 5 magnetic quickdraws, and a 90cm micro-rope. Each purchase supports the Access Fund to protect America’s climbing. Remember the Tiny Tent trend? Micro climbing may catch on too.
Hipcamp S'mores Kit
Just in time for fall, Hipcamp’s shop now features s’mores. The camp company’s Taste of Summer S’mores Kit ($30) includes four bittersweet chocolate squares, four artisanal raspberry-infused marshmallows, and seeded raspberry jam, plus, your choice of vanilla wafers, chocolate crackers, or honey graham crackers. While supplies last, Hipcamp’s S’mores Kit will be available for free, to the first 100 people who book a September stay with Hipcamp in the U.S.
Superfeet ADAPT Run and Run Max Insoles
Superfeet’s latest insole is a whole collection: the ADAPT Run Insole Family. The ADAPT insoles ($50) are specifically designed for wear while running, with Superfeet’s Adaptive Comfort Technology, Aerolyte dual comfort layer cushioning, and a heel cushion that disperses impact and reduces vibration. They’re available in two models, the ADAPT Run and ADAPT Run Max and a size range from 4.5 to 13.
VSSL Fire Striker Tin
VSSL’s Fire Striker Tin ($20) is the perfect add-on to the VSSL First Aid Kit. The Fire Striker tin includes five tinder firestarting tabs, a tethered ferro rod, and a ceramic striker in protective housing. Add this neat little firestarting package to your VSSL first aid kit, or slip into your go-bag or hiking pack.
ROKA Ventilated Matador Air
ROKA’s popular Matador shades now have a sequel: the Matador Air ($225). These shades were evolved in ROKA’s Austin, Texas, headquarters “to meet the need for increased air flow in hot and humid conditions.” The Matador Air ultralight shield-style sunglasses have gold mirror lenses that are sweat- and fog-resistant with an oleophobic coating.
Howler Brothers Palo Duro Fleece Hoodie
Howler Brothers is “entering the fleece game” with its three new fleece hoodie styles for fall 2021. There’s the Loggerhead Fleece, Talisman Fleece, and our favorite, the Palo Duro Fleece ($99) — all made with 50% recycled content. The Palo Duro is a 100% poly grid fleece with a kangaroo and zippered stash pocket and drawcord hood. And if you are a fan of fleece, you can pair it with the Howler Bros. Fleece Strapback pliable brim hat ($35).
Outback Grills Explorer 300
Outback Grills’ founder is a fast-paced outdoorsman, IRONMAN athlete, and mountaineer. After he was done playing outside, he wanted a way to relax and settle down. The solution? Design the perfect backyard grill. The Outback Explorer 300 ($200) is a portable fire pit and grill combo perfect for campers. The Explorer 300 is a high-carbon steel pit with a 20-inch grill surface top, and it’s fairly portable at 22 pounds. The height adjusts depending on your heat (read: fire) and what you’re cooking. And the legs adjust too.
