Canyon Stoic Hardtail Mountain Bike

A new addition to Canyon’s hardtail lineup, the Stoic (from $1,099) is built for both trail newcomers and seasoned shredders. Two models are launching: the Stoic 3 and Stoic 4. The Stoic 3 has a 6061-alloy frame, SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain, and a RockShox Recon RL fork. The Stoic 4 has the same frame with upgrades like a RockShox Pike fork and Canyon G5 cockpit. Sizes M-XL are fitted with 29-inch wheels, while sizes 2XS-S have 27.5-inch wheels. The bikes will be available in 2021.

Garmin Tacx Boost Trainer

Garmin Tacx Boost trainer

The new Tacx Boost ($300) is a trainer built with a magnetic brake and manual resistance control for a realistic ride-feel to help cyclists train year-round. The trainer’s resistance can be controlled manually with 10 levels and up to 1,050 W using a lever attached to the handlebar, or by applying more or less pressure to the magnetic brake. Best of all, there’s no power source needed. Tacx and the Tacx app also sync seamlessly with Garmin Connect.

Vollebak 100 Year Ski Pants

vollebak 100 year pants

Vollebak’s new 100 Year Ski Pants ($895) are here. They’re ultra-tough, highly breathable, and waterproof to over 43,000 mm. Compared to other garments, that’s some really high waterproofing. The pants have four-way stretch and a detachable bib, so you can toggle between inbounds and out-of-bounds adventures. You can also pair with Vollebak’s 100 Year Jacket, but the whole kit will run you $1,790.

We like the new Lucent Series Phone Case ($30), a one-piece translucent case with an impact-resistant core and embossed microdot pattern for grip. The cases meet military drop-test standards and work with MagSafe and wireless charging. UAG partnered with a female designer and its female ambassadors to create this series.

Dynamic Spray-On Wax

Dynamic Wax

Dynamic Wax ($50) is a new nontoxic wax on the market. Dynamic claims it offers the fastest and easiest ski wax application in the world — only 30 seconds to apply. Dynamic Wax’s spray-on solution bonds inside ski and board base materials by using nanoparticles. The spray-on wax doesn’t require heating or melting and is approved by the FIS (who recently banned fluorinated waxes).

Vallon Ski Goggles

Vallon Stairways Goggles

The Vallon goggles ($160) bring back an old-school goggle design but paired with modern tech. The goggles have an anti-reflective smoke lens with 21% VLT, filter out 100% UVA and UVB rays, and are equally adaptable to cloudy and sunny conditions. And if you don’t like the dark smoke lens, there’s a Stairways low-light lens available. The throwback straps also have an anti-slip silicone strip for a secure fit.

Solé Bicycles The Purple Cheetah

The co-branded bike is inspired by the band’s hit song “Purple Hat.” Solé added a flip-flop fixed or single-speed hub, classic drop bars, and cheetah-print handlebar tape. It comes in four sizes. The Purple Cheetah is available for preorder now and will ship in January 2021.

WeeyLock Bike Lock

WeeyLock ($79 presale) is a solar-powered smart bike lock equipped with a 1,000dB anti-theft alarm. The lock attaches to the bike frame and back wheel and is built with reinforced glass fiber and aluminum alloy. WeeyLock claims the case is shockproof and tamper-proof. The lock (which is compatible with scooters too) requires no keys or combos, as it unlocks via your smartphone. The app also tracks your mileage, speed, and more.
