An ice-encrusted river gorge was the venue for a peculiar film shoot this weekend in Oregon with Jason and Chelsey Magness of the YogaSlackers, shooter/editor Jared Leisek, photographer Paul Clark, and others in a small crew who put together a quick edit, all filmed via a small hovering heli-drone with a camera attached. The result is part outdoor adventure extravaganza, part circus act, and pure fun. —Stephen Regenold

Said Jason Magness of the day out filming: “Yesterday was cold and spectacular. We walked two highlines over a frozen waterfall and did endless hand-to-hands on the ice near the edge… all to capture that perfect shot. Four highlights of the day: 1) walking dual highlines at the same time with my wife Chelsey Marie Magness, and she was on the longer one!; 2) feeling the downdraft as the copter hovered over my head while I was trying to do yoga on the highline; 3) holding a hand-to-hand for over two minutes while the juggler kept dropping his clubs; 4) all the amazing friends who were there and who topped off the day with homemade naan and pumpkin soup delivered to us just as we de-rigged and the sun set. Umm, best day ever nomination?!?
