The “free day” will be Sunday, Feb. 28. “We owe you first tracks — healthcare workers ski free,” the resort wrote onlineThose interested must simply show proof of active employment in the healthcare industry. The first 200 to do so will receive one complimentary lift ticket each.

PRO: Olympic-Winning Ice Hockey Twins Announce Retirement. Gold-medal-winning Olympic ice hockey players Jocelyne and Monique Lamoureux announced their retirement from USA Hockey on Feb. 9, 2021.

The twin sisters from Grand Forks, N.D., played in every major International Ice Hockey Federation event from 2009 to 2018 — together. They also went to three Olympics together, bringing home one gold, two silver, six world championship gold medals, and one world championship silver.

APP: AllTrails Hiking App Reaches 1 Million Subscribers Amidst Pandemic. AllTrails just surpassed 1 million paid subscribers for its premium service, AllTrails Pro.

The hiking website and app offer a collection of trail guides and have a global community of over 25 million registered users on all seven continents. AllTrails reported a surge in numbers, with nearly a 130% year-over-year increase since 2019.
