Tweet with the #SWFanVan tag and you could change the trajectory of a man road tripping across the U.S.

That’s the premise of the Fan Van Tour, a two-week journey sponsored by SmartWool touted as a “crowd-sourced” trip.

SmartWool employee Jeff Snow will be at the wheel. His tour kicks off today in Steamboat Springs, with a stop in Denver this evening to play table tennis at the Ace Restaurant & Ping Pong Hall.

Anyone can show up for the Denver event (free beer and socks!) as well as subsequent stops on down the road. Snow has a rough map but will deviate as per the whims of his social-media fans.

See the rough tour route on this page and on SmartWool’s Facebook page.

On July 22, the van will make a stop at GearJunkie headquarters in Minneapolis. Indeed, Snow is planning to organize a group bike ride and then camp out at our office on Minneapolis’ Greenway Bike Trail.

Monitor the GearJunkie Facebook page for details on the Monday event, we’ll have socks and a beverage waiting if you come!
