Sit back and relax while French cyclist Louis Citadelle takes you on a meditative journey into a cycling life in the mountains — all alone.

It’s difficult to imagine how much work this took.

In Self-Portrait, the second solo video from Citadelle, he works with Kona Bikes to offer a beautiful and contemplative look at his unique approach to cycling — which includes painstaking photography done entirely by himself.

He successfully recaptures the magic of his first film, Why I Ride, which he self-published on Vimeo to broad acclaim.

Don’t expect voice-overs or explanations or even place names. Just watch this monk-like MTBer as he serves up a mix of music, cycling, and scenery. You won’t forget this one.
