Morton’s ‘Alt Tour’ may have made more news than the 2021 Tour de France itself. And you can enter to win the bike he did it on.

On July 13, Lachlan Morton cut the tape under the Arc de Triomphe 5 days ahead of the Tour de France peloton — well, not exactly.

That was the day the Australian cyclist finished his “Alt Tour,” a mind-bending unsupported (unsanctioned) ride of the TdF route. Along his 3,400-mile bike ride, he camped out each night and carried all of his own food and supplies. The ride helped raise more than $680,000 for bike advocacy charity World Bicycle Relief.

Morton rode a Cannondale SuperSix EVO, built and tuned carefully to his specification. Now, World Bicycle Relief offers it in an enter-to-win sweepstakes. Cannondale, Rapha, and EF Education-NIPPO (Morton’s team) help present the road bike, a 54cm build with a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain, team Vision wheels, and Cannondale HollowGram crankset.

In addition to the bike, the grand-prize winner also gets an EF Education-NIPPO jersey signed by Morton. Four other winners also get a hand-signed jersey but miss out on the bike.

The entry period began on Oct. 10 and runs through Oct. 31 (closes at 7 p.m. CST). Entry is $34, and all the cash will help support World Bicycle Relief’s work.

“On behalf of all at World Bicycle Relief, and the people we serve, our gratitude goes to Lachlan, his team and family, EF Education First, Rapha, and everybody who has contributed to this incredible activation,” said Allison Dufosee, CEO of World Bicycle Relief U.K. “Chapeau to all!”
