Known for its coolers, drinkware, and (increasingly) its film projects, this month YETI sets out on a nationwide tour.

YETI Stories from the Wild Film Tour

The “Stories from the Wild Film Tour” kicks off next week, on September 13, in Santa Cruz, Calif. Stops from there include other California cities, then Utah, Minnesota, and Oregon.

GearJunkie will be present at the October 12 Minneapolis event; stay tuned for details. Ten stops are included on the tour; buy tickets and see all info here.

YETI: Films Are A Focus

With its tour, YETI is inviting the general public to “get to know the YETI brand on a more personal level” via its films. These include outdoor documentaries like “Charged,” which shows the incredible survival story of chef and outdoorsman Eduardo Garcia.

Another film, the stunning “Cosmo,” documents the story of a fishing guide in the remote waters of the Seychelles.

This year, YETI has sponsored four films produced by GearJunkie, including “Forge To Fine Art” and “Into The Crater.” (Two additional films are forthcoming.)

Forge To Fine Art: Blacksmith Aaron Cergol

Aaron Cergol crafts axes, hammers, and knives on a restored forge. In this original video, GearJunkie travels to Milwaukee where a young master blacksmith creates works of art from hot steel. Read more…

Nationwide Film Tour

For the “Stories from the Wild Film Tour,” YETI has picked local hangouts including bars, brewpubs and small music venues.

The tickets cost $10 or $20, and 100% of the proceeds go to charity partner American Rivers, which works to protect, restore, and conserve wild rivers.

For a $10 ticket, you get beer, BBQ (or “authentic regional eats”), and a YETI product raffle ticket. For $20, you get the same plus a YETI stainless drinkware product to take home.
