Did you know there’s a whole category of YouTube videos where people build (or rebuild) cabins in beautiful, remote locations? Well, there is, and I’m here for it. One Year: Renovating Two Stone Cabins in the Italian Alps is a recent example of the form, and boy howdy, it’s a good one.

In the (3-hour!) vid, Martijn Doolaard looks to all the world like a Brooklyn hipster in over his head. But looks can be deceiving, and Doolaard shows up with a trailer full of tools and the know-how to use them.

Runtime: 3 hours, 2 minutes
